One Woman’s Fight to Reform Islam: Heretic

Ali1We often associate the word leadership with politicians (primarily males) or big shot CEOs and entrepreneurs. However, leadership comes in another form: people who aren’t leading an organization but rather a cause. Witness the courageous work of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai in advocating the right for girls to receive an education. Her advocacy almost got her killed by the Pakistani Taliban when she was only 15 years old. Her fight goes on.

Consider Ayaan Hirshi Ali, a Somalian-born woman who was a practicing Muslin for some 20 years, but who later as an adult made an abrupt transformation.
